The Wings of Nature Almond Raisin Bars are a new type of snack bar on the market right now. They are gluten free, with no trans fat, and have no refined sugar added to them. That’s all well and good but how do they taste?
This is where all products get truly judged, if it doesn’t taste good then there is no reason to go any further. These are some mighty tasty snack bars. Sweet without being overly so
After trying the Espresso Coffee Bars I had an idea of what type of flavors to expect. What I wasn’t prepared for was just how good these would be. If at all possible i thought these were a much better flavor combination
The Company describes the bar like this. After eating the bars it sounds spot on to me.
Almond Raisin – The rich flavor of Almond and Raisin comes from the mixture of organic nuts, seeds & dried fruits blended with organic Agave syrup and organic brown rice syrup sweeteners
As a small aside if you have ever had Arabic Candy or confections, like those sweetened with sesame seeds. These bars taste very similar to that type of subtle sweet and nutty combination. Another close comparison might be good baklava.
These bars are also quite moist without being syrupy. I would consider them an excellent addition to any backpack.
Cost: The only way I have seen the price listed is $31.99 for a case of 24, I would like to see a way to get individual bars from the manufacturer as well. They are quite tasty but I don’t think I could eat a whole case of them. Hopefully for us other resellers have taken it upon themselves to break the case up and sell them to hungry people like myself.
Conclusion: After having the chance to try the Coffee Espresso Offering i was very pleasantly surprised to find these bars in the package from Wings of Nature as well. I was even more surprised when this lighter flavor shown through. I could definitely see throwing these into my backpack for a long hike or a day around town. Very filling and just sweet enough. seeing
*Full Disclosure: I was sent a lovely care package at no cost by the fine folks at The Wings of Nature for the purpose of writing this review.
